Building Lean Muscle & Power of Protein

Building Lean Muscle & Power of Protein

Building lean muscle has to do with nutrition, activity, and quality of protein. This is why not all protein shakes work the same, nor have the same benefits for your body.

The source and type of protein matter. There is a great article on Harvard Medical School about protein quality.

Your body can add about ½ pound of lean muscle a week – so most people can add 1-2 pounds maximum per month. You can lose more than that in fat in a week! So, when you use the right program, like Jump To Health – not only can you lose fat which helps you see your muscles better, you also can build lean muscle too as we heard from Doug tonight.

Now when we think of building lean muscle most people jump to the idea of eating more protein, like an Atkins diet. This is actually not the way! If you eat too much protein in any one meal, it will convert to fat in your body. And too much protein can be hard on the kidneys to process.

Now we have a lot of muscles in our body. It’s not just our arms and legs.

Here are some interesting facts about muscles:

1. You have 600 muscles in your body, and they are divided into 3 types – smooth, cardiac and skeletal.

2. Muscles make up about 40% of your total body weight.

3. The strongest muscle in your body is your jaw – it can close with a force of 200 pounds. The largest is your gluteus maximus or glutes, the smallest in your ear, and the busiest the eye. The hardest working is the heart, pumping 2500 gallons a day.

4. One pound of muscle is tiny -the size of a small tangerine, while one pound of fat is a lot bigger, the size of a large grapefruit. This is why on our program we recommend you measure, measure, measure. You will burn fat, and lose a grapefruit while you add lean muscle, the size of a tangerine. So, the scale may not change- but you will see and feel a difference in your clothes.

5. One pound of muscle burns 70-80 calories a day, one pound of fat 6-7. So, when you shift your body and lose more fat, you rely on muscles more and increase your metabolism.

6. We lose an average of 10 ounces of muscle a year starting at age 30. Loss of muscle is the #1 reason people go into nursing homes. We don’t notice it typically for 10 years -by then we get winded walking steps – not due to age but due to loss of muscle.

7. You are born with a set number of muscle fibers. You are not making new when you work out – you are making the muscle fibers bigger.

Strength training just 2 – 3 days a week with lifting, or yoga, walking, body weight exercises like squats, pushups – these help

improve balance

enhances posture

increases coordination

prevents injury

protects bone health

eases pain

reduces fat

prevents weight gain

slows age-related muscle loss

So, let’s talk nutrition and exercise tips to build larger, stronger, healthy muscles. You don’t need to lift weights – you just need to be active – even simply walking can help you.

1. Boost your energy

Studies show that adults who walked for 20 minutes outdoors experienced more vitality and energy than those who walked for 20 minutes indoors.

A small study found that 10 minutes of stair walking was more energizing than a cup of coffee for 18 women who felt sleep-deprived.

2. Boosts health

Studies show that walking for 30 minutes per day can reduce your risk for heart disease by 19 percent. If you live with diabetes, walking may also help lower your blood sugar levels.

3. Sleep better

Walking first thing may help you sleep better at night later. A small 2017 study observed older adults aged 55 to 65 who were experiencing difficulty falling asleep at night or were living with mild insomnia.

Those who exercised in the morning versus the evening experienced better sleep quality at night.

And sleep helps build lean muscle - growth hormone is naturally released by the brain into the bloodstream during sleep. Not getting enough sleep means your body doesn’t produce the helpful hormone needed to build muscle and keep tissue healthy.

Nutrition & Muscles:

You need to eat the right amount and right quality of protein to build lean muscle and burn fat.

most people do not get enough protein during the day to build lean muscle.

“The average American breakfast has about 12 grams of protein, which is not enough to stimulate repair and replacement of muscle proteins. For adults, meals must have at least 20-30 grams of protein to stimulate building essential muscle protein,” explains Donald K. Layman, PhD, professor in the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition at the University of Illinois. With age, our muscles are not as sensitive to protein intake. Therefore, children, teens and younger adults can get away with lower amounts of protein per meal.

Eating adequate protein has a greater thermic effect, meaning it takes more calories to burn protein than carbohydrates or fat. “If you eat 100 calories of carbohydrates, you lose 5 calories. But for 100 calories of protein, you lose 15 to 20 calories because of the additional metabolic roles of protein,” Layman says.

And quality matters:

Lower quality proteins, such as wheat protein, lack one or more of the nine essential amino acids and so fail to stimulate muscle protein synthesis to the same degree as complete proteins like whey. High-quality protein sources, which supply all nine of the essential amino acids, aid muscle gain.

I see a lot of brands and low glycemic breads use wheat protein. It’s sort of like collagen protein – it may have some benefits for skin, hair or nails – but collagen is not going to build lean muscle. Neither are some simple plant proteins.

I see a lot of pea protein – but it’s not purified like we use at Jump To Health. So, you are not going to absorb it and get the same results. This is why people who have tried to follow our program and then use things like Premier Protein – fail. They are using lower quality protein.

Animal proteins have more leucine – which is why many people suggest that a vegetarian diet can be harder to be healthy. This can be supplemented -but again – it is quality that matters.

1. EAT BREAKFAST TO HELP BUILD MUSCLE MASS

Studies show that a protein and prebiotic fiber meal in the morning not only helps you concentrate and focus better, you will eat less throughoutthe day. And with our body only able to absorb 25 -30 gr of protein max per meal – by following our program we are helping you get the optimal amount throughout the day for better health.

2. Eat when hungry and not when you are full

Many people eat because they think they should – but if not hungry, then listen to your body. Maybe you had a big breakfast and can have a smaller lunch.

For those of you who want fast results and curb hunger and cravings, our New You In 22 Program is designed to help you fight cravings, control blood sugar and stay full and satisfied. And with our meal program of breakfast, amazing shake recipes including cake, and bread and desserts that are designed to burn fat – you will not be hungry, you will burn fat with our exclusive FBR or Fat Burning Ratio in each recipe!

3. EAT PROTEIN WITH EACH MEAL TO BOOST YOUR MUSCLE MASS

And the right amount and right types – including healthy nuts, and protein rich snacks.

4. EAT FRUIT AND VEGETABLES – and the right ones.

Nutrient dense foods to promote health, and that are low sugar too. Our meal plans and programs help provide healthy vegetables like cauliflower, broccoli, zucchini, and berries – any berry – is low in sugar and high in nutrition and fiber!

Our New You in 22 program can help you learn to love these fruits and veg, and our Power of 2 Program or Diabetes Program can help you learn to eat healthier with more flavor.

6. EAT HEALTHY FATS

Healthy fats improve fat loss and health as they digest slowly. Healthy fats include avocado, butter, cream, mayonnaise, almonds, pistachios, walnuts. And with Ignite in your coffee or in other foods this ice cream flavored powder delivers the RIGHT mixture of MCT’s to get you into fat burning mode, boost brain and focus, and skin hair and nails too. And with nutrients shown to help those with diabetes too – we help control blood sugar. And Control – can help too. We will talk this in a minute.

7. DRINK WATER TO HELP YOU BUILD MUSCLE MASS

Water is crucial for building and maintaining muscle mass. It acts as a building block for muscle tissue, aids in nutrient delivery, helps regulate body temperature, and is essential for muscle contractions and recovery. Adequate hydration is vital for optimal muscle function and overall athletic performance. Drinking water prevents dehydration but also hunger since an empty stomach can make you think you’re hungry. And it helps flush the body of toxins, while it provides hydration for metabolism. Being dehydrated slows metabolism so you lose less weight. By being hydrated you rev up your fat burning and muscle repair. And to help with this we have our Tea Energy which is a boost for the immune system, with extracts of green tea, white tea, black tea. It tastes like a smooth iced tea- but it is a powerhouse of mood boosting, fat burning EGCG power.

8. Detox from sugars hidden in foods.

Sugar spikes insulin and makes you hungrier, and wrecks gut health. So,your workouts will be worse as when your insulin spikes can lead to more dehydration, and lower energy. GlucoSupport can help as it blocks sugars hidden in foods -including those sugars that don’t sound like sugar on the label.

So how are the Jump To Health products better, and why do they work better?

Even if you were to join and get the recipes – you will not have the same results as when using our products.

The reason is quality.

There are a lot of shakes on the market – and most of them taste like metal or are gritty and bitter. Ours tastes like birthday cake because of the quality of the proteins that we use, and natural flavors too. And our shake was designed to hit the PDCAAS, or muscle building power that international health organizations look for. Most shakes out there including those using collagen do not come anywhere near meeting PDCAAS scores. This is why our shakes are approved in Canada, and our products have NPN numbers. We are also made in a certified Kosher, Certified Halal, Certified Organic, Certified Natural, FDA licensed and Health Canada licensed facility. Quality matters and that is the key to Results.

Our shakes and our unique Tri-Active protein blend make them more absorbed and easier to digest than other shakes and good for kids to elderly for that reason. And for less money too - $1.25 a kid serving, $2.25 an adult serving.

✓ Tri-Active Protein™ Blend

✓ Aminogen

✓ Astragin®

✓ Fibersol®

✓ Palatinose®

✓ Burn Fat, Build Muscle

✓ Digestive Health

✓ Immune Health

✓ Mood & Focus

The Core shake uses a whey hydrolysate -the highest absorbing, easiest to absorb protein, along with whey isolate and whey concentrate. A perfect blend for building lean muscle.

We added in Aminogen to both our core shake and V pro plant shake to help:

Aminogen is a patented enzyme that has been shown improve protein digestion and increase amino acid levels absorbed from dietary protein. Clinical research has shown Aminogen® to increase BCAA retention levels by 250%, nitrogen levels in muscle by 32% and overall amino acid plasma levels by 100%. Researchers also found all amino acids are released in greater amounts when protein is digested with Aminogen®. What's more, Aminogen® is 100% natural and ideal for anyone looking to build quality muscle or achieve lean body definition.

The Core shake:

AstraGin™ - a proprietary and patented form of ginseng and astragalus (herb). Supports the absorption of amino acids, glucose, and vitamins at the cellular level.

It helps muscles because it helps

  - Amino acids absorption such as Arginine and Citrulline by 66.7% and

    43% respectively.

   - Vitamins absorption such as folate by 50.4%.

   - Glucosamine absorption by 41.9%.

   - ATP production by 18%.- which is the body’s energy source.

We have the VPro Plant shake:

VPro is the best tasting plant-based shake, guaranteed – and the highest quality.

The other companies use simple pea protein which is only 40% -50% protein, or if you are lucky pea concentrate that maybe is 60% protein. That is because it is cheaper, and they can claim protein on the label. The challenge is it is not purified to all protein. So, you get the carb flavor and texture, not the protein. It is about quality, and we use the more expensive pea protein. Pea protein is a complete protein and has all the amino acids we need to be healthy and build lean muscle.

We have a pea hydrolysate – the most concentrated and pure pea protein -and 99% absorbable along with pea isolate – 90% absorbable, and then pumpkin seed protein.

People with malabsorption disorders and people with food allergies or sensitivities can usually tolerate a hydrolyzed protein formula better than the others. It’s used in hypoallergenic infant formulas, for example.

Hydrolyzed proteins may also cause less of an upset stomach for those with gut conditions like irritable bowel syndrome. They have also been shown to benefit those with slow stomach digestion. Pumpkin seed protein – is protein derived from pumpkin seeds. These are high in minerals, such as zinc and iron. They also have high levels of antioxidants, like vitamin E. Research indicates that adding pumpkin seeds to your diet can improve overall health and heart health. It's also been linked to the decrease in certain types of cancer. Pumpkin seed protein is very anti-inflammatory. So, anyone with inflammation, like arthritis, may find this helps.

For athletes we also use isomaltulose as a sweetener. The brand we use is Palatinose – it has been studied in Type I and Type 2 diabetics, and shown to help them manage blood sugar because it does not spike insulin. This is critical for athletes too as insulin spikes weaken performance. The sweetener has been studied in athletes and shown to help with endurance, stamina, and energy, and the sweetener has fat burning properties too. So, the shake helps you get fast results, fight inflammation, and tone up. Now one thing we tell people is to measure their inches. If you lose 1 pound of fat (size of a large grapefruit) and gain 1 pound of lean muscle – the scale shows no movement. BUT you will be 1-3 inches smaller!! So, keep track and watch how fast you can burn fat, build lean muscle, and reshape your body.

Benefits of both shakes:

Regulates Appetite with 41% increase in peptide absorption

73% decrease in gut inflammation

Supports healthy insulin levels

10% reduction C Reactive Protein

3 Times greater protein absorption

Increases HDL/Lowers LDL

Boosts Lean Muscle

Supports regularity

Eases digestion, bloating

Amino Acid Increase100%= Brain,

  Immune, Detoxification

Control – is a multi-action product that does more than help Control hunger and cravings. It can help with Energy, Happy Mood, and help shrink fat cells, and tell the body to store less fat. We created Control to be better – better blood sugar control, cravings, mood, and a little energy. No jitters -just healthy energy with 70 mg of caffeine which is about ½ cup to 1/3 cup of brewed coffee worth of caffeine. This little secret of a product helps your body’s fat cells to shrink, while it boosts mood, keeps blood sugar stable and fights cravings. You can lose weight with Control and avoid the Hangry’s.

Clinically studied nutrients at the studied doses.

 Learn about Control https://www.fluid.app/s/e79bee

1.Green tea – we have it in our Control, and our PowerOx. Green tea extract can accelerate fat loss and improve joint, gut, skin, and heart health, and reduce muscle soreness after exercise. The amount of extracts – not caffeine, but the healthy polyphenols is like drinking 4-6 cups of tea per capsule.

Studies show it helps fat breakdown, boosts metabolism, boost antioxidants, increases fat burning during exercise too while it boost gut, heart, skin.

Learn about Power Ox Tea https://www.fluid.app/s/0b1ad1

2.In Control we also have Garcinia Cambogia, which is derived from a tropical fruit. Garcinia cambogia contains a substance called hydroxycitric acid (HCA). HCA has been shown to increase levels of serotonin, a neurotransmitter that influences mood, social behavior, and appetite. It also inhibits an enzyme that tells your body to store fat. So,you can burn more fat and have better serotonin.

https://www.webmd.com/vitamins-and-supplements/qa/how-can-garcinia-cambogia-help-people-with-type-2-diabetes

3.Then it has 5 HTP – a natural appetite suppressant found naturally in our bodies. One of the largest roadblocks a person will face on their way to a healthier body is a nagging appetite, and Control can help in multiple ways. It is an amino acid pre cursor of serotonin-with anti-depressant, anti-anxiety, sleep, and weight loss benefits. Low serotonin levels are linked to depression and anxiety, and worsen the symptoms of menopause. As your serotonin levels rise, your mood improves. Studies show that 5 HTP can help reduce appetite so you have less hunger.

4.Then Dl-Phenylalanine is an essential amino acid which can affect any number of systems in the brain. It can help you feel happier, and less stressed. We tend to eat more when we are sad, lonely, or blue – so by helping you feel happier – you can eat less.

Phenylalanine is an essential amino acid, and one of the building blocks of protein and the muscles in your body. Phenylalanine is considered "essential" because you need it to function, but your body cannot synthesize enough of it independently, so it must be consumed either from food or via phenylalanine supplementation. Phenylalanine has also been studied for use in the following conditions.

-Parkinson’s disease: There is evidence that phenylalanine could be beneficial in treating the symptoms of Parkinson's disease, though more research is required.

-Alcohol withdrawal: Phenylalanine, along with some fellow amino acids, has shown indications that it could be useful in treating alcohol withdrawal symptoms.

-Chronic pain: D-phenylalanine may help with pain relief in certain instances (like low back pain), though so far research results are still spotty and not all of the studies produced results with statistical significance.

-Weight loss - L-phenylalanine may help with weight loss in a couple of ways. First the hormone cholecystokinin (CCK), which is stimulated by L-phenylalanine, may act as an appetite suppressant and thus lead to lower calorie consumption throughout the day. Because dopamine is responsible for feelings of pleasure (the kind you may get from eating your favorite dessert, for instance), regulating dopamine levels can be beneficial in the treatment of obesity. If L-phenylalanine can be used to keep your tyrosine and thus dopamine levels high while you go on a diet (and cut your usual dopamine supply), it may help reduce food cravings and lead to more sustainable weight loss.

From better memory and focus to an improved mood, reduction in stress, anxiety, and depression. This supplement can do it all. It even works as an effective pain reliever in a way.

You can get some phenylalanine from meat, seafood, soy, seaweed, nuts, and seeds including pumpkin seed which we have pumpkin seed protein in our V Pro shake.

5.Chromium – a highly absorbable type of chromium that helps keep blood sugar stable.

In addition to its effects on glucose, insulin, and lipid metabolism, chromium has been reported to increase lean body mass and decrease percentage body fat, which may lead to weight loss in humans.

So, Control is a fat burning, fat busting, hunger controlling, energy and focus, calorie burning, antioxidant boosting weight loss one of a kind. And it is only $38…half of that jacked up stimulant thing I looked at today.

So, to build muscle

1. Exercise

2. Proper Nutrition.

3. Sleep, hydration

IBS & Diet

IBS & Diet

Digestive issue, and IBS and chron’s are on the rise, and much of it is due to our diet. About 8% of adults get enough fiber in their diet, and only about 1 in 10 in the USA get enough fruits and vegetables per day. IBS – is growing and affects all ages – including children. 45 Million people in the USA suffer, and 2 in 3 are women.

https://www.niddk.nih.gov/health-information/health-statistics/digestive-diseases

Our diet is one reason why. Our diet has shifted to a lot more sugar. Today the average person eats 156 lbs. of sugar per year, or almost 1 cup a day. In 1976 we ate only 26 lbs. a year. We don’t add sugar – so it’s hard to believe we eat this much. But it is hidden in food as it acts like a preservative (prevents mold in bread), tastes good and is addictive.

Sugar feeds the bad bacteria in the gut, leading to more issues with gut health, immune, tiredness, sluggishness, brain fog and more. More inflammation, lack of sleep and the toll that stress takes on our bodies.

Our gut is our ‘second brain’ in the body. A gut bacteria imbalance can lead to weight gain, even eating the same foods as a thinner person.

Why does sugar trigger IBS symptoms? When you consume sugar your small intestine releases certain enzymes to help digest it. The molecules are then absorbed through the intestinal wall into the bloodstream where it can be used for energy. It is thought that a lack of enzymes needed to digest sugar may trigger symptoms of IBS. Hormones, alterations in gut bacteria, and stress may also play a role in triggering symptoms

Fructose is a problematic sugar if you have IBS. You can find forms of fructose in fruit juices, sodas, and packaged sweets. However, even natural forms of fructose in fruit can be problematic. This is especially the case with high fructose fruits, such as apples, grapes, and pears, as well as honey. You don’t have to avoid fruit altogether though. Instead, swap out higher fructose-containing fruits with ones that are known to contain less fructose. Berries, peaches, cantaloupe, and citrus fruits are not as likely to trigger IBS symptoms.

Some people with IBS are also sensitive to lactose, a naturally occurring sugar in milk. Your body breaks down milk with the help of lactase enzymes in the small intestine, similar to sucrase enzymes needed to break down sucrose. However, up to 70 percent of adults don’t make enough lactase in the body, and may experience lactose intolerance, as well as subsequent symptoms like bloating and gas. You can help this by using lactose free milk, or buying a supplement called Lactaid – an enzyme to help your body break down lactase.

Are there other foods to avoid if you have IBS?

Aside from sugars and sweeteners, there are other foods that can trigger IBS symptoms.

- Beans and lentils

- Cruciferous veggies, including broccoli, cabbage, and cauliflower or dark leafy greens

- Onions

- Garlic

- Gluten

- Chocolate

- Spicy foods

- Fried and processed foods

- Caffeinated foods and beverages

- Alcohol

- Carbonated beverages

You can try cutting these foods and beverages from your diet to see if your symptoms improve. But remember that everyone with IBS is different, and restricting certain foods may not be necessary.

https://www.healthline.com/health/ibs-and-sugar

What are the signs of an unhealthy gut?

An unhealthy gut can appear as gas, bloating, constipation, and diarrhea, but it can present itself in many other forms as well. Autoimmune disorders like Hashimoto’s Disease, rheumatoid arthritis, Type 1 diabetes, and multiple sclerosis (MS), where your immune system is attacking different parts of the body, can also be a sign of an unhealthy gut. Brain fog, headaches, poor concentration and memory, fatigue, chronic pain, trouble sleeping and issues with cravings or bad moods are also symptoms and critical indicators of a poor microbiome. And key – if you have a gut bacteria imbalance – you can gain weight even eating the same food as a thin person.

Now what impacts gut? Diet.

Too much sugar, stress, lack of sleep and poor diet all impact the gut.

Alcohol consumption was the highest in 50 years due to Covid.

Obesity is now 20% of the population. 10 years ago, obesity was 6%. It’s gone from 6% to 20% in a short period, and carbs, starches, sugar, have everything to do with that."

What To Eat to Boost Gut Health?

Fiber is key. A diet high in fiber and low in fat, sugar, and processed foods is how to help fix a bad gut. There is sugar in crackers, bread, cereal, canned vegetables, frozen vegetables too. That is because sugar makes food taste good, is cheap, is addictive – and is a preservative too.

Sugar will feed the bad bacteria. And it is fructose too. a high-fructose diet can alter gut microbiome, leading to gut dysbiosis and microbial metabolite disorder. In one study – researchers found that fructose, high fructose corn syrup, feed bad bacteria. But fruit – even high consumption did not – because the fiber in fruit offset and slowed the fructose impact, and because the phytonutrients in fruit help feed good bacteria. This is why we teach how to read labels – and if you see fructose or sugar in the first 4 ingredients – avoid it.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8912426/#:~:text=Unabsorbed%20fructose%20is%20converted%20by,dysbiosis%20and%20microbial%20metabolite%20disorder.

https://www.nutraingredients.com/Article/2020/11/11/Study-Fructose-syrup-disrupts-gut-microbiome-but-fruit-can-undo-negative-effects#

Foods that help – prebiotic, probiotic, high fiber foods, and healthy fats like avocado, butter, olive oil, nuts, fish – help.

Prebiotics: apples, artichokes, asparagus, bananas, barley, beans, broccoli, cabbage, cacao, flaxseed, garlic, leeks, lentils, oats, onions, raw honey, and whole wheat. Probiotics: kefir (milk- or water-based), kimchi, kombucha (learn how to make kombucha at home), miso, pickles, raw/unfiltered apple cider vinegar, sauerkraut, tempeh, and yogurt (dairy or nondairy).

Jump To Health Products:

Every single product in Jump To Health can have a beneficial impact on gut health, immune health, heart health, mood, brain health, and weight.

We have the most clinically studied ingredients in our products – more than other companies, even the largest ones. For example, in our shake – we have 5 patented and clinically studied nutrients. And these studies show these ingredients help you feel fuller longer, help burn fat, help build muscle, help boost good gut bacteria or probiotics, and help control blood sugar too. No one has better protein. And no one uses our sweetener nor added nutrients.

1. Fiber Pro- a key to a healthy gut. Fiber Pro has many testimonials from people that claim, including me. Fiber Pro has 2 clinically studied prebiotic fibers -shown to boost healthy probiotics in the gut + 40%. That is 40%. Far more than a probiotic. This is because to work a probiotic need to survive the stomach acid, get past the small intestine, and get to the large intestine to work. Think of a 5-gallon bucket and dropping ½ a capsule in it. Can it help? Yes. Will it boost probiotics up to 40%? Not like Fiber Pro, no.

There are over 100 studies in humans on these fibers we use – and they are shown to balance those hunger hormones. The clinicals show we work on all 4 hunger hormones – ghrelin which signals when you are hungry, leptin that signals when you are full, and Metabolic disorders and insulin resistance – all caused by hormones in the gut that can slow weight loss. And it is $23 for a month supply. That is cheaper than many brands you see at the store, or online. Most fiber products are like Metamucil – they fill you up, but do not boost probiotics or gut health like Jump.

Learn about Fiber Pro https://www.fluid.app/s/2042e9

2. Core and VPro shakes - Both shakes have this prebiotic fiber in them. We should bet 25-30 grams per day – yet only 8% of us do. That means 92% of us do not’ get enough fiber. By having a shake blended with fruit, a Fiber Pro in coffee in the morning, and in PowerOx in the afternoon – not only will you be getting ¾ of the fiber you need – you will balance leptin and lose weight. Go to 2 shakes a day and you will lose faster. And this is key – you will be improving your gut health, heart health, muscles, gaining muscles, boosting immune health. There are more health benefits to the Core whey shake, and VPro plant shake than just protein.

Compare it – Premier Protein – costs more -and does not offer similar benefits. Ensure, Boost – nope. We have compared to hundreds of shakes and no one offers more health benefits. Let alone gut health benefits. Most of them don’t have any fiber, let alone a clinically studied one.

This is why our shake works better – more nutrients for gut health, muscles, and minerals.

It is more effective than other shakes. And it has a Tri-Active protein blend – higher quality protein, higher quality results. And it tastes like birthday cake. Not gritty or bitter – but amazing.

The shakes both have a clinically studied digestive enzyme – shown to boost digestion, and absorption of protein in lean muscle. Our shakes work better, because of this patented enzyme. The Core also has AstraGin – will help digestion, and also protein absorption, and also mineral absorption. All day- from the foods you eat.

Learn about Core and V pro Protein https://www.fluid.app/s/aa95ed

Fat Burning, Blood Sugar Control, Natural Sweetener– Isomaltulose is our sweetener. It has been clinically studied and shown to help Type I and Type II diabetics manage blood sugar, shown to give athletes sustained energy and better performance, and shown to have fat burning properties too. Derived from sugar beet, it is natural and processed in a way to not spike insulin. Other companies use fructose (which too much can spike fatty liver disease), or they use crystalline fructose – a form of concentrated, high-fructose corn syrup! The others don’t use what Jump To Health uses, because it is expensive. Ours is more than 30x more expensive than sugar or fructose. We use it because our mission is “health first.”

Taste – the shake tastes great, like cake, because of the quality of ingredients. No gritty, cardboard, flavorless shakes here!

Cost – save money on groceries, or eating out! A shake with milk is about $2.50 a serving. A sandwich eaten out is about $8 – so if you eat two shakes a week as a meal replacement for lunch instead of eating out - your shakes would be paid for (with enough to spare for additional meals to enjoy for breakfast, lunch, or dinner throughout the month). Not to mention you will be getting better nutrition, protein, fiber, enzymes, prebiotics and more! And we dare you to compare to other brands – we cost less because our mission is health.

3. PowerOx – immune support and gut health. PowerOx has vitamin C which feeds good gut bacteria, an immune boosting prebiotic fiber, and it has polyphenols that feed the good bacteria in the gut. Combine it with Fiber Pro and clinical studies show you will eat less as it balances hunger hormones leptin and ghrelin. In our beta group average weight loss was 8 pounds using just PowerOx once a day, and Fiber Pro twice a day. https://nutritionj.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12937-018-0426-y

Learn about Power Ox https://www.fluid.app/s/0b1ad1

4. Fruit & Veg Power -We know fruits and veggies are good for us – and studies show the phytonutrients in them can help fight fat. People with higher weekly intakes of chlorophyll, carotenoid, and anthocyanin had better body composition in comparison to those who consumed less. These are in our fruit & vegetable power. These also support good gut health too.

Learn about Fruit and Vegtable Power https://www.fluid.app/s/942f1a

We offer a full range of phytonutrients – that help our cells detox. We have spirulina and chlorella to help with heavy metals, and these also support good gut health. We know most people do not eat enough fruits and veg, and if you are following keto or low carb – you need to try these. Also look at the Indole 3 carbinol – it is being studied for helping fight or prevent cancers or other cellular disorders. They help the body fight inflammation – in our cells, and then everywhere.

Anxiety, ADHD and Diet

Anxiety, ADHD and Diet

The brain and gut are interrelated and the balance of our gut can definitely impact our mood, anxiety, PTSD and more.

Anxiety is pretty common – about 18% of the population has anxiety at any given time. It can result in Heart racing, trouble sleeping, trouble concentrating. It is also interlinked with depression. Almost ½ of people diagnosed with depression have anxiety. Though they are different disorders, the treatment for them is often the same.

https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/326354.php#anemia

Nutrition and exercise can help. Studies show that exercise is also very important and there’s lots of evidence that regular exercise boosts mood, especially if you’re able to exercise outdoors in a green environment. Even a walk in the park or a stroll by the river is thought to be helpful.

https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/generalized-anxiety-disorder/expert-answers/coping-with-anxiety/faq-20057987#:~:text=In%20some%20people%2C%20certain%20foods,overall%20physical%20and%20mental%20health.

Mmost doctors only know how to treat with medications. They are not nutritionists, and they don’t have the time, nor do they get paid by insurance, for teaching what to eat to help improve health beyond the general guidelines. Lynette went to multiple doctors, and not one offered nutrition advice. And several medications later – some made the symptoms worse.

So how and why can nutrition help those feel better if they have anxiety and/or depression?

The gut and brain are connected through the gut-brain axis, which sends signals between the two via the vagusnerve. This communication can be disrupted by imbalances in the gut microbiota or bacteria, which may lead to mental health issues like anxiety and depression. For example, irritation in the gastrointestinal (GI) system can trigger mood changes by sending signals to the central nervous system. This can cause the brain to go on high alert, similar to how an anxious mind can cause an upset stomach.

Johns Hopkins Medicine there is that changing the gut microbiome can help with anxiety. For example, scientists have shown that transplanting gut microbes from people without anxiety into those with anxiety can help reduce symptoms in the short term. Probiotic supplements may also help, as one study found that they improved depression and sleep quality in students with mild anxiety and depression

Much of our poor diet is due to how much sugar and carbs we now eat. Sugar works in the brain like cocaine – and creates a happy rush, followed by a fall. So we crave more, eat more. It then feeds the bad bacteria in our gut, altering our serotonin, our gut brain axis, and our mood. A viscious cycle.

Harvard Medicine had an article recently on this too.

Pay attention to your gut-brain connection – it may contribute to your anxiety and digestion problems.

https://www.health.harvard.edu/diseases-and-conditions/the-gut-brain-connection

Now why did the Shake and Control help so fast?

A few reasons.

1. Protein in the morning – the Mayo clinic recommends a protein breakfast to help anxiety because it gives you energy and helps keep your blood sugar in balance. This can help with mood.

The Jump To Health protein shakes provide easier to digest protein than other brands, and higher quality too. Then we add in the Aminogen and make it even easier to digest and absorb. Then the prebiotic fiber in the shake has been clinically shown to boost probiotics by up to 40%.

This helps balance the gut and that helps balance the gut brain connection.

Not only has prebiotic fiber been studied for helping with gut health, but depression too.

Prebiotics feed "friendly" bacteria in the gut, and research has shown that people with certain digestive disorders have a higher risk of anxiety and depression. In fact, eight out of nine clinical trials that treated patients with prebiotics or probiotics found that mood improved significantly, with a decrease in anxiety and depressive symptoms

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC10490379/#:~:text=Of%20the%20nine%20clinical%20trials,in%20anxiety%20and%20depressive%20symptoms.

SO let your food be thy medicine and thy medicine be food is real.

What is also interesting in the clinical reviews - Depletion of serotonin contributes to depression, as it is important in mood regulation. Since 95% of our serotonin is made in the gut – this is another reason to focus on gut health. All of JTH products – all of them – have a benefit for gut health.

The hormone serotonin Serotoninis a mood stabiliser, and impacts wellbeing and happiness.

Foods that boost serotonin include - apples, barley, berries, citrus fruits, chicory root, and jersualem artichoke, and butter helps with butyrate and then foods that help with tryptophan – including spirulina, milk, cheese, eggs, salmon, sunflower seeds, onion.

The shake, fiber pro have the prebiotic benefits of chicory root, Jerusalem artichoke in it.

The spirulina and other nutrients that boost serotonin are also in our Fruit Power and Veg Power capsules.

Now interestingly – I talk a lot about the Aminogen in our shake – that it is there to help us digest the protein and absorb it into lean muscle. But there are other health benefits too – including helping serotonin and mood.

https://www.neuroscienceinc.com/news/2023/understanding-digestive-enzymes-and-supporting-healthy-digestion

Proteolytic enzymes or Aminogen are digestive enzymes that break down proteins into amino acids. These amino acids help the body build muscle and neurotransmitters, including serotonin, dopamine, and GABA.

So the shake helped fast because it helped keep blood sugar stable, boosted probiotics in the gut for better balance, and helped boost serotonin too.

Then Control. Why is control so powerful in helping people feel happier?

Per medical news – one ingredient in the Control is 5HTP. 5-Hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP) is a naturally occurring amino acid, and is the precursor for neurotransmitters, which are chemicals that transmit a nerve impulse across neuronal gaps that are called synapses. These neurotransmitters include serotonin and melatonin.https://www.news-medical.net/life-sciences/The-Relationship-Between-Serotonin-and-5-HTP.aspx

5-HTP helps raise serotonin levels in the brain. Since serotonin helps regulate mood and behavior, 5-HTP may have a positive effect on sleep, mood, anxiety, appetite, and pain sensation.

https://www.news-medical.net/life-sciences/The-Relationship-Between-Serotonin-and-5-HTP.aspx

https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/0003986162900620

Now that is not the only ingredient that can help support healthy mood.

In addition to 5HTP, which converts to serotonin, we also have Dl-Phenylalanine. This is also a natural amino acid. DL-phenylalanine can increase serotonin activity, which could help with pain relief and depression in patients taking opiates for chronic pain. It is also known for its antidepressant properties, because it may increase norepinephrine levels, which can help with depression and attention issues.

In addition Control has 75 mg of caffeine.

Per WebMd –Research into coffee and depression has found that people tend to experience less severe symptoms when they drink coffee.

Now in high doses caffeine can make anxiety worse. But at low levels – which is what we have in Control - In low doses, caffeine may help depression,” per the Journal of the American Medical Association. The reason is because caffeine “stimulates dopamine, which is a chemical in your brain that plays a role in pleasure motivation and learning.”

https://www.webmd.com/diet/what-to-know-about-coffee-and-depression

https://www.ama-assn.org/delivering-care/public-health/what-doctors-wish-patients-knew-about-impact-caffeine

The caffeine source we use is from Guarana. This is a tropical fruit that is known for boosting happy feelings, help reduce fatigue, boost brain health, and protect the heart.

https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/guarana-benefits

One study looked at the effects of different doses of guarana on mood and learning. Participants received either no guarana, 37.5 mg, 75 mg, 150 mg or 300 mg.

People who received either 37.5 mg or 75 mg of guarana achieved the highest test scores. Since low doses of guarana provide low doses of caffeine, it’s believed that other compounds in guarana aside from caffeine may be partially responsible.

And guarana has a lot of good safety data too. It has antioxidants and many health benefits including helping with eye health as we age, fighting cellular issues, boosting gut health.

Then green tea extract – one of the most studied ingredients of all time – has neurochemical and behavioral benefits because it too increases dopamine and serotonin.

hhttps://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/23625424/#:~:text=An%20increase%20in%20dopamine%20and,serotonin%20and%2For%20dopamine%20metabolism.

Last but not least in Control is Garcinia. It too has been well studied and shown. In one study it was shown to help anxiety, sociability, and dopamine production. Dopamine is another hormone that is involved in brain function, pleasure, memory and attention, focus. Back to the gut again – about 50% of dopamine is produced in the gut

https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s42452-021-04902-z

So Control boosts mood, a little energy, and boosts gut health too. It is great when dieting as it can help lessen cravings and help you stay on track. Or it can help those who want to get a boost of good mood.

Now what do we eat that can help or hurt our happy mood?

The average American diet has gotten bigger, and heavier on grains, and lower quality fats.

https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2016/12/13/whats-on-your-table-how-americas-diet-has-changed-over-the-decades/

Your brain is about 2/3 fat – and it needs fat to thrive. It also needs antioxidants found in fruits and nuts , tea, and other products. Foods that can impact the brain and your mood include:

-Nuts – high in fat, and fiber- especially macadamia nuts, almonds

-Omega fats – like those in our shake – flax, sunflower, or fish oils. These all support a healthy brain. Everyone should take an Omega – you really cannot get enough. And guess what – we have a super powerful and unique one coming July 1!

-Low sugar. Sugar is so bad for the brain. Watch how much sugar you are eating. You will see it in everything.

-Caffeine – a lot of studies are showing that caffeine in coffee or tea can help support a healthy brain and mood, and fight alzheimers and parkinsons, even memory loss.

- protein- our body is comprised of protein – our skin, hair, muscles, nails- all need protein to thrive. We need to get adequate protein.

-Hydration – most adults are dehydrated – 74%. This slows metabolism and affects our brain too. So be sure to drink lots of water, and tea to help the brain. Especially green tea.

-Fiber – there are so many studies right now on the emerging area of our second brain in our body – our “gut’. You can google it. Your gut is where 94% of your serotonin resides. So if you have a bad gut bacteria imbalance – you will not sleep as well, you can be crabbier. We use a special fiber in our Fiber Pro. Studies have been done on it that show that it helped school children do better on tests than those who don’t take it. It really is a great product.

https://www.health.harvard.edu/blog/nutritional-strategies-to-ease-anxiety-201604139441

Foods to Avoid:

Fast food is cheap, convenient, and tastes good (most of the time). However, researchers believe there’s a linkTrusted Source between depression and levels of inflammation in the body, and inflammation is exacerbated by ingredients commonly found in large quantities in fast food dishes, like artificial trans fats, refined carbs, sodium, and sugar.

One large study found that people who eat fast food regularly are at a 40% greater risk of developing depression, and researchers suggest that the high amounts of trans fats in fast food products were a primary contributing factor. Meanwhile, other researchers discovered that people who frequently eat fast food were less resilient to depressive symptoms.

https://psychcentral.com/depression/foods-that-cause-depression#alcohol

So for fast meal – have a shake instead. It takes less than a minute to mix up a smoothie, a minute to make a microwave or bundt cake. And 15 minutes to make 5-6 protein bagels using our shake mix.

Make some pancakes with our shake mix and freeze. There are many ways to get healthy meals, fast. Also take a look at our New You in 22 program – the meals and sides are easy to make and food the whole family can enjoy – and they are low sugar, low glycemic and good for brain health and mood.

Many people enjoy a glass or two of wine to lift their mood, and it’s hardly surprising — alcohol encourages the release of serotonin (aka the “happy chemical”) in our brain.

However, for those with depression, drinking alcohol could have the opposite effect, as studies suggestTrustedSource higher intake may lead to increased symptoms. This is sometimes called “alcohol-induced depressive disorder,” which occurs only shortly after you drink alcohol

Simple or refined carbs – white rice, pasta, white bread – these turn to sugar in the body and impact mood and gut health, feeding a bacteria imbalance. enty of research supports the link between unrefined grains and depression. For example, one in women postmenopausesaw that those who ate refined grains had a greater risk of new-onset depression. If you want to eat these – take a GlucoSupport before the meal to help lower they glycemic load, lower the absorption and calories too.

We’ve long been warned of the dangers of eating too much salt, particularly around the negative effects on blood pressure and cardiovascular health. But it also impacts inflammation in the body, and has a negative impact on the gut microbiome, which impacts the brain too. Today the average adult in the USA is eating 4000 mg of sodium a day – when we should get 1500-2000mg. So when shopping, look for low sodium or no sodium added foods. And stay hydrated. We know that the average person is dehydrated – drink more to help flush hidden sodium out.

Sugar- Some research indicates a link between sugar intake and depression. Sugar increases inflammation and hormone imbalance, both of which are linked to mood, feeds the bad bacteria in the gut, and has a potential impact on the growth and development of brain cells.

influence on neurotransmitters in the brain

Aspartame and artificial sweeteners - in one people who consumed a diet high in aspartame experienced more depression and irritable mood. Researchers suggest this may be because the ingredient impacts the balance of chemicals in the brain (such as the “pleasure” chemicals serotonin and dopamine) and increases levels of cortisol, the “stress” hormone. This ingredient is in a lot of diet sodas.

Eat more fruits, veg, protein, especially at breakfast. Eat healthy fats for brain health. Plenty of fiber and water for gut health. Avoid sugar, watch the alcohol, and salt and sugar and aspartame.

Nutrition recommendations:

1. Add a magnesium supplement. We have magnesium in KeTonic, and adding more may be good – so look for a magnesium supplement at your pharmacy or grocery store.

Keytonic https://www.fluid.app/s/c39657

2. Add the Fruit & Veg capsules – anti inflammatory and also very good for the gut.

Fruit & Veg capsules https://www.fluid.app/s/942f1a

3. Add Fiber Pro for the gut brain axis https://www.fluid.app/s/2042e9

4. Ignite for the healthy MCT for the brain and gut https://www.fluid.app/s/8403cc

PDCAAS scores. Protein shakes are not equal- quality of ingredients matter.

1 in 2 homes have a protein shake - but is it going to help your health, or hurt it? On this blog we learn about shakes and ingredients.

I have been asked why it is easier to lose weight or build muscle, or get healthier heart, bones, gut with Jump to Health than other shakes. Some people have tried to follow our Keto program, or our 2 shake a day program with other shakes – and not lost weight.

That is because there are a lot of not so good shakes on the market. And because not every company follows rules for PDCAAS scores. You can see products claim ‘protein’ on their label – to find out its gelatin – or collagen – not complete proteins, and not going to build lean muscle or boost your health.

cartons of a dozen eggs. It’s a lot.

https://www.healthline.com/health-news/ozempic-muscle-mass-loss

And now we have a bunch of companies marketing shakes to those on Ozempic or Wegovy, to help prevent muscle loss. Yes – you need to eat more protein if you are taking the shot. And you can’teat healthy foods like broccoli or cauliflower – which is why I say give us a chance first. You heard Emory – he lost 14.5 lbs in 30 days. That is weight loss you notice. Go pick up 3 packs of potatoes and walk around a store, or imagine 10

This past week I talked to someone who won’t try our shake – because their doctor recommended they drink Ensure instead. What they don’t realize is Ensure is promoted by a drug company, Abbott Labs. Drug companies spend a lot of money having Sales reps visit doctors offices and drop off samples, lunches and other information. Doctors will likely listen to a drug company because they get more training in medication. In their career they get on average only 8 hours of nutrition training but they get thousands of visits and information on drugs. So when a drug company recommends a shake – they listen. Not because its’ the best shake. And nutritionists that work for a hospital or medical practice are required to promote what the hospital says – not necessarily what is best.

I don’t recommend Ensure for weight management – my opinion is that it is lower quality and will make you lose lean muscle. So letscompare.

Ensure original is 220 calories. Our shake blended with fruit and milk or almond or soy milk is about that too.

They have 6 gr fat – we have about half of that.

They have 34 grams of carbs – we have 1/3 of that and ours is from fiber and has a net carb of 1.5.

They have net carbs of 29 including 10 gr of sugar.

They have only 3 grams of fiber – or ½ of what we do. They are not a full serving of fiber. Their fiber is coming from the gum thickeners, ours is coming from a clinically studied, patented prebiotic fiber shown to boost the good probiotics in your gut up to 40%, and boost immune health, regularity, satiety, and can help balance your hunger hormones too.

They have 10 gr of sugar – and also have sucralose. So 10 gr of sugar is not necessarily good for a diabetic or prediabetic in one drink. They have more sugar than protein.

Let that sink in. more sugar than protein.

Jump To Health has a clinically studied, natural sweetener shown to help control blood sugar in both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetics. The FDA is considering allowing us to remove it from the sugar portion of the label because of that.

Protein – they have 9 grams. Only 9 grams! That is not enough for a meal. That is like eating 1 egg.

A meal should be 25-30 grams. They are 9 and their protein includes non-fat milk, along with milk protein concentrate and a little soy isolate. So you are pretty much getting sugared milk.

Our shake provides the amount for a meal -25-30 grams and is a higher quality protein. We use whey hydrolysate, which is 99% absorbable along with whey isolate which is 90% absorbable, and whey concentrate that is 80-85% absorbable – and that is before we add in Aminogen that boosts absorption into lean muscel 45%.

And more protein too – 33% more protein even before adding milk. If you remove milk from their label you are getting about 2 grams of protein from the soy isolate. Think on that.

We add in Aminogen – a patented and clinically studied digestive enzyme shown to increase the amount of protein you absorb into your lean muscle +45% more. They do not have a digestive enzyme. We have AstraGin – a clinically studied nutrient to boost protein absorption another 25%, along with boosting vitamin and mineral absorption +47% and more. So our shake is good for muscle, digestion, regularity, immunity, probiotics.

And look at the order of the nutrients on Ensure. The first ingredient is water, followed by corn maltodextrin, followed by sugar – milk protein is the 4th item. The soy isolate – the higher absorbing protein is #6, after oils.

JTH – the first ingredient is protein, then protein, thenp rebioticfiber. Then protein. We also use natural flavors – they do not.

Cost – they are $1.62 a serving on Amazon prime. Ok. That is about $0.50 less a serving, for 60% less protein, no prebiotic fiber, no digestive enzymes, no mineral booster. To get the same nutrition you’d need to add Aminogen - $1.00 a serving on Amazon, add AstraGin – about $0.50 a serving, add prebiotic Fiber about $0.70 a serving, and add our sweetener to help control blood sugar – about $0.40 a serving $3.82 a serving to get similar nutrition as ours for $2.40 a serving when mixed as directed. 30 days = $43 more per month than our shake. Or you could get 2 bags of ours for the price of theirs with adding fiber, enzymes, and nutrients.

So you can see that you get better value and better health boosting power with Jump To Health.

But ok – that is a drug store brand. What if we look at a sports supplement store – GNC Ideal Shake.

Think it's better because it's in a store? Lets compare:

Cost =$3.12 a serving = 44% more. Price than ours.

Protein sources - whey concentrate, milk protein, nonfat dry milk. Notice that the whey isolate is after the 'natural and artificial' flavors. So you are basically getting whey concentrate and milk along with flavor.

Maltodextrin is the 2nd ingredient. A starch.

Corn syrup solids -a sugar that does not need to be labeled as sugar - is #4.

2 artificial sweeteners.

slimfast powder) - good grief. No wonder people struggle with losing weight on other programs. This shake has only 2 gr protein, 9 gr sugar. First ingredient is sugar. And it's a Milk Protein - not the most muscle building protein, and it is waaay down the list. And this one is supposed to help you lose weight? Lose muscle is more like it.

So how do you know what is high quality?

Well the International markets are different than the USA market. Here the US government and USDA look at grams of protein, not quality of protein. So you can see a lot of products like Premier Protein at Costco – being marketed with bold “30 grams of protein” on the label. But what they don’t’ tell you is how much is absorbable into the lean muscle, and how much is not.

The international markets like Canada use something called a PDCAAS score or rating. It rates protein on quality vs. quantity. We formulated our Core and VPRo shakes to meet the strict PDCAAS requirements of Health Canada – one of the hardest to be approved in.

Many USA companies are not allowed in Canada, because they do not meet these PDCAAS requirements.

They also do not meet the requirements for lecithin, a healthy fat that supports brain health and metabolism.

We do.

This is also why several brands were booted out of Canada. Both retail brands and Direct Selling companies.

Big brands too – are not in Canada. Jump To Health was formulated to meet the stringent Health Canada requirements. And we have NPN’s or Health Canada approvals on our supplements too.

So look at the label. See what is in the first 4 ingredients. See if they have a hydrolysate protein. See if there is more protein than sugar, and check that the fiber is a good fiber or is just gums.

If you don’t see hydolysate, isolate – its not going to be as good.

oCore: Uses Whey Concentrate, Whey Isolate and Whey hydrolysate (most don’t use all three/only concentrate)

oV-Pro: Uses Non-GMO Pumpkin Seed Protein, Pea Isolate and Pea hydrolysate.

So, both of our shakes use a hydrolysate, an isolate, and then a concentrate for better absorption.

The shakes are lactose free. Gluten free. Soy free. Sucralose free. And natural flavors. Not artificial.

We also add in Aminogen. Guaranteed 99.9% of shakes don’t’ have this patented, clinically studied digestive enzyme.

Several people have asked about Collagen.

Collagen is now carrying warnings on the labels that these cannot be used for weight loss, as they are not complete proteins and they do not build lean muscle. Great for skin, hair, joints, nails – but not muscle.

There are other nutrients in our shake that make it better at building lean muscle vs. other shakes. I will cover that in a minute.

So when I look at a shake label I look at

1. Quality of protein

2. If it has fiber in it

3. Type of fiber

4. Sweetener

5. Type of sweetener

6. If it has digestive enzymes and what type.

I will look at other things too – like the flavors, and where they are listed on the label as that can also tell me a lot about the quality of the formula. The closer to the top of the ingredient list means they add more flavor to get it to taste good.

I look at the ingredients and the first 4 ingredients. If you see sugar or a sweetener in the first 4 ingredients, in my opinion – that is showing you less quality because sugar can help mask bitter flavor.

We like to say if you see a sweetener or sugar in the first 4 ingredients – put it back.

Then I look at Fiber. Does the protein shake have a full serving 5 grams – of fiber, and what type is it?

I can guarantee you the vast majority of shakes do NOT have fiber in them. Or 5 grams or higher

Then I look at the type of fiber. We have 5.5 grams in our shake from a patented, clinically tested prebiotic fiber shown to boost health, satiety, stool quality, regularity, gut permeability, lower cholesterol and help blood sugar too.

The vast majority -if they have fiber – it is guar gum, or acacia gum – used to help keep the product mixed into the liquid. It is technically a fiber, but it is also technically just a thickener. It will not boost probiotics in the gut, help stool quality or regularity, or lower cholesterol like the Jump To Health shakes.

I look at the sweetener. Many shakes use artificial sweetners to make them diabetic friendly. Many have now moved to fructose or crystalline fructose as those are natural and don’t spike insulin. However, those are typically high fructose corn syrup which can impact liver health. Some us lo han or monk fruit – but we don’tbecause it is not allowed to be used in shakes in Canada. It is only allowed to be used as s table sugar in Canada.

We use isomaltulose – the brand we use is Palatinose. It has been clinically studied in diabetics, athletes, weight loss. A new study came out saying not only does it help keep blood sugar stable, it also helps nourish gut health and boost probiotics in the gut.

So our shake protein is easier to digest, higher quality, more absorbing.

We have a prebiotic fiber with many health benefits.

And we have a sweetener that is natural with many health benefits.

So when I get asked can I use other shakes and lose weight? You may lose weight – not as fast as with JTH. You may lose lean muscle – vs. building it with JTH.

You won’t boost gut health, heart health, immune health, or brain health like JTH.

And our shake is approved by Health Canada – and meets their needs for the highest PDCASS score.

And it is good for kids too. Kids age 4-12 can have 1 scoop of shake, kids 12+ can have a full shake.

The shake can be used in smoothies, made into pancakes, protein muffins, mug cakes and can be used Keto and non –keto too. We have the best shake for health and it tastes good too.

Dare to Compare: Why Jump Shakes?

There are a lot of shakes on the market – yet, none compare to Jump to Health’s Core™ Meal Replacement Shake Mix or Jump V-Pro™ Plant-Based Protein Drink Mixes.

1. Three types of protein – enter the blood stream at different rates to build lean muscle better, curb hunger, boost immune health, fight inflammation.

2. Clinically studied digestive enzymes – help you absorb and use more protein into your lean muscle.

3. Prebiotic Fiber – we have a full serving of fiber. Most companies do not, or they use fillers for fiber. We use a clinically studied prebiotic fiber to help mood, memory, boost probiotics, support digestive health, and more. The ‘gut brain axis’ is an important part of nutrition and science – and all of our products support good gut health.

4. Proprietary Sweetener and Flavor System – Isomaltulose is our sweetener. It has been clinically studied and shown to help Type I and Type II diabetics manage blood sugar, shown to give athletes sustained energy and better performance, and shown to have fat burning properties too.

5. Taste – the shake tastes great, like cake, because of the quality of ingredients. No gritty, cardboard, flavorless shakes here!

6. Cost – save money on groceries, or eating out! A shake with milk is about $2.50 a serving. A sandwich eaten out is about $8 – so if you eat two shakes a week as a meal replacement for lunch instead of eating out - your shakes would be paid for (with enough to spare for additional meals to enjoy for breakfast, lunch or dinner throughout the month). Not to mention you’ll be getting better nutrition, protein, fiber, enzymes, prebiotics and more!

7. And now better ATP, energy, anti-inflammation, more antioxidants, more muscle health – more health benefits.

And by being a member – you get access to a FREE website that we have, where you can shop online at stores like Macy’s, Walmart, Kay Jewelers, Petco – and save money with exclusive offers, PLUS save on travel, PLUS save on movies, concerts. This can pay for your products, or pay for your life and fun.

So, we Dare you to compare – we know we have Better Products, at Better Prices, with FREE perks. Tell me any other company that can do that.

So, get with the person who invited you to this.
